Tablespoons to grams for butter

US butter wrappers print tablespoon marks for a reason. A standard US stick is ½ cup / 8 tablespoons / about 113 g, so 1 tablespoon ≈ 14 g and 1 cup ≈ 226 g. That matches common King Arthur–style butter cup weights.

Using the tool

Choose Butter, unit tablespoon (US), enter the count, and read grams. Or reverse: grams → volume when a European recipe lists butter only in grams.

Salted vs unsalted

Density is nearly the same; flavor is not. We convert weight/volume only — we do not adjust salt in the rest of your recipe.

Honesty: whipped or European-style butters can differ slightly. When precision matters, weigh the stick.
