Scale a recipe 1.5×
Halving or one-and-a-half-ing a recipe is mostly arithmetic. LocalCupGrams includes a simple paste scaler: paste lines that start with a number (including fractions like 1/2 or 1 1/2), set the factor to 1.5, and scale.
What it does
- Multiplies the leading quantity on each line.
- Leaves ingredient names and units as you typed them.
- Keeps everything in this tab — no account, no upload.
What it does not do
- It does not convert cups to grams for you (use the ingredient converter for that).
- It does not rewrite “2 eggs” into chemistry-perfect ratios for yeast or leavening — cook’s judgment still applies.
- It does not claim food-safety timing for scaled batches.
Tip: convert tricky volume ingredients to grams first, then scale the gram lines — weight scales more cleanly than packed cups.
